For years, my world revolved around molecules, formulations and biology. As a molecular biologist and formulation chemist, I spent countless hours in labs studying how ingredients behave, how formulations remain stable and how the body actually responds to them.
One thing science teaches you very quickly is this: biology cannot be convinced by marketing.
If a formulation is unstable, the ingredient breaks down.
If a molecule cannot properly penetrate the skin, it simply sits on the surface.
If the formulation isn’t designed correctly, the results people hope for never truly happen.
Science is honest that way.
But over time, I began looking more closely at the products filling store shelves and dominating social media. I studied ingredient lists, formulation claims, and the science behind them. And what I found was frustrating.
There was a clear gap between what science knows works and what many products actually deliver.
That gap is the reason Eltior exists.
I didn’t want to create just another skincare brand. I wanted to build a brand rooted in formulation integrity, scientific honesty and respect for biology.
The Problem With “Trending” Skincare
Every few weeks, the beauty industry seems to discover a new “miracle” ingredient. Suddenly it appears everywhere promoted heavily, packaged beautifully and marketed as the next big solution.
But good skincare is not about putting a trendy ingredient on a label.
What truly matters is:
-
Is the ingredient present in an effective concentration?
-
Is it stable enough to remain active?
-
Can the skin actually absorb and utilize it properly?
These are the questions that determine whether a formulation works or simply sounds impressive.
Many products fail not because the ingredient itself is bad, but because the formulation behind it was never designed properly in the first place.
Sometimes the active ingredient is included in extremely small amounts: just enough to mention on the packaging. Other times, the ingredient degrades before it even reaches the skin. And in many cases, the delivery system simply isn’t designed for effective absorption.
When products fail, consumers often blame themselves:
“Maybe my skin just doesn’t respond.”
But often, the real issue is much simpler:
the formulation failed the science.
The Eltior Ethos: The Rules of Our Lab
Eltior was built on a few principles that I refused to compromise on.
1. Science Over Trends
We do not formulate based on hype or fast-moving trends.
Every ingredient we choose must have a clear scientific purpose, work in harmony with the formulation, remain stable and be biologically effective.
If it cannot genuinely perform, it does not belong in our products.
2. Respecting Biology
The human body is incredibly intelligent. Good formulation should work with biology. Not aggressively fight against it.
Our goal is not to overload the skin with unnecessary actives or shortcuts. It is to support the skin barrier and natural biological processes in a safe, balanced and predictable way.
3. Transparency Matters
Consumers deserve clarity.
Too often, complicated claims and “proprietary blends” are used to hide weak formulations or ineffective dosages. I never wanted Eltior to operate that way.
We believe people should understand what they are putting on their skin and why it is there.
Elevating the Standard
Eltior is my attempt to bring together deep scientific thinking and everyday skincare rituals.
It comes from years of research, formulation work, testing and an unwillingness to accept:
“That’s just how the industry works.”
As we begin this journey, my promise is simple:
We will never prioritize marketing claims over molecular truth.
Every product we create should earn its place on your shelf through thoughtful formulation, scientific integrity and real performance.
Welcome to Eltior.
